A fascinating array of restored aircraft from many eras-- ideal for aviation buffs of all ages

Located at the Spacecoast Regional Airport, this extensive collection of military aircraft from World War I to the Space Age offers visitors an opportunity to examine over 50 historic aircraft up close in two exhibit hangars. A dedicated team of volunteers and aircraft technicians have meticulously restored the planes in the museum’s world-class collection, bringing them back to their original flying condition. The museum’s Memorabilia Hall exhibits flight gear, dress uniforms, weapons, and artifacts. The museum also hosts special events and air shows as well as a STEM program for local middle school and high school students with courses taught by former military pilots, teachers, and enthusiastic Valiant Air Command volunteers. Visitors can observe demonstration flights of historic aircraft that take place on a regular basis. Recommended for aviation fans of all ages.

The "TICO Belle" is symbolic of the historic role the museum's aircraft played over decades. This C-47 served in the D-Day invasion of Normandy, OPeration Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge. It is still used for humanitarian airlift missions. Source: Photo: Coherit Associates

This rare North American F-82 Twin Mustang, based on the North American P-51 Mustang, was designed as a long-range escort fighter for the Boeing B-29 Superfortress in World War II. F-82s also served in the Korean War. Both of the cockpits are able to control the aircraft, each has their own individual controls and gauges. This example was restored by Tom Reilly and his Restoration team. <br />
