Kennedy Point Park

Enjoy sweeping views across the Indian River toward Merritt Island and Cape Canaveral

Begin your tour of aerospace history here, with with a panoramic view across the Indian River to Merritt Island and Cape Canaveral beyond. It is there that the American exploration of space began-- and continues to the present day. The silhouette of the imposing Kennedy Space Center Vehicle Assembly Building, where the massive Saturn rockets of the Apollo program and the Space Shuttle launch vehicles were assembled for launch—can be seen clearly on the horizon. Along with other designated areas along the west bank of the Indian River in Titusville, this spot is an excellent viewing area for launches.
